Orchid Arrangement Care

Easy Care Tips for Our Live Orchid Arrangements, The Video!

Placement - Keep your arrangement indoors in a cool, medium indirect light area that has some air flow. Never put in direct sun or in front of a hot window. Cooler areas promote longer bloom periods.

Water - Only when dry to the touch (in about 10-14 days). Use a spray bottle with clean water only.
Using a stream of water (not a mist), spray around the base of the plant. Dampen to the touch. Don’t get water on the blooms or in the crown of the plant- use a paper towel to absorb it if you do. Don't Hesitate to call us with any questions! Orchids require a drying out so don't soak or water more than every 7 days!
The number one cause of orchid damage is caused by over watering. Use thie tip of your finger to judge the dampness of the moss in the plants individual plastic pot, just below the decorative moss covering.

Remember our policy: If you purchase a Living Orchid Arrangement from us; when the orchid blooms fade and drop off- simply return the arrangement to us and we will replace that old orchid with a fresh blooming orchid for simply our cost of the new plant! You can have a 'perpetual' arrangement if you follow our policy... Thank You- end of orchid worries!

Blooming orchids don't like being put in direct sunlight or a hot window!

GOOD LIGHT vs. BAD LIGHT
Light is a key factor for healthy orchids. Direct sunlight may cause plants to burn, and too little light will prevent plants from flowering. Phalaenopsis (our most common arrangement plant) are low light, warm growing orchids that enjoy a north or an east, protected west or shaded south window of the home. Bright filtered light is best. Standard household temperatures are adequate (68-72º). Also, good air circulation is very helpful for orchids and all house plants in general.

Leaf color is a good indicator of the amount of light a plant is receiving. Orchids should have bright green, healthy leaves. Dark green leaves indicate that a plant is getting insufficient light, and yellowish-green or red leaves indicate that a plant is getting too much light.

PHALAENOPSIS; These plants are commonly referred to as "Moth Orchids" and are considered among the easiest of the orchid family to care for as well as the most recognizable. The long-lasting flowers bloom perfectly for up to three months. Phalaenopsis have become one of the most popular variety of orchids because of their low maintenance and delicate balance of poise and elegance.
