About Encinitas Orchids

Recently founded in Encinitas by long time resident Don Doerfler and his wife Yvonne.
Don has a degree and a lifetime experience of art and design. See his art website; www.painterofparadise.com
Yvonne has a background in marketing and sales. She is doing business development for the company.

Don grew up with orchid horticulture, and learned about orchids from his Grand Mother, who cultivated many varieties of orchids in her greenhouses.

He has been into orchid horticulture for over 20 years and has earned many awards from the San Diego County Orchid Association.

Our arrangement plants come from local growers and are hand selected by Don.
His own stock of plants from his two greenhouses are also a source.

The combination of Don’s knowledge of orchid horticulture and his deep background in art and design result in unique and stunning living orchid arrangements. Every arrangement is a work of art - a living sculpture of orchids and living plants. Everything created at Encinitas Orchids has a special touch of genius in design and color!

Encinitas Orchids is Don’s way of expressing nature and living plants as an art form to share with everyone.
